This blend is grown in a rain forest region located in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, at the foot of the famous, Poas volcano.?The average altitude is 1,200 m (or 3,900 ft) above sea level providing a diverse ecosystem, encompassed by many different species of birds, animals, exotic trees and other vegetation. ?Together they enrich the already naturally fertile volcanic soil, producing an amazing state of quality for these beans and contributing to enhance the coffee’s flavor notes.
These beans are “honey” processed. Which means the skin / pulp is removed but the layer in between that and the parchment layer, called the “Mucilage” is left on the bean. This layer is a sticky, sugary layer and is sometimes called “honey” This in turn helps enhance the flavor notes of the beans.
Being a light medium blend coffee it’s a great fuse of both light and some dark flavors holding all the way till the end of your cup!
